I started painting more as a release for the emotional turmoil I was going through in my life at that point. It went from that painting, which was so wonderful and therapeutic that I painted another, then another and when I looked around there were canvases wherever I could find a wall or surface to place them.
Each painting with the first stroke of the brush starts a new journey for me, and the painting takes on a life of its own.
I enjoy using a lot of colour that under the acceptable norm would be considered ‘clashing’ – that is the magical aspect of self-expression, your ideas are unique, individual and an emotional diary in picture format.
